Lots of folks have suggested the cheap Netgear one that's based on the
DEC Tulip chipset. I would recommend against the cheap NE2000 clones --
they're slow, and the NE2000 driver in the current 2.0 kernel won't run
as a module (meaning you can't use the default Red Hat kernel). 

Personally, we put 3-Com 3c509b cards into each of our servers. We cannot
afford to play around, we have a business to run, and our customers depend
on these servers. We know that the 3c509 driver is about as bullet-proof
and well-tested as is possible. However, for personal use you probably
don't want to use a $100 network card.
