Thanks for the suggestion!

This suggestion seemed to fix the problem for Netscape, but the
control-panel problem still persists.  Note that the Netscape problem
exists on Solaris 2.5/2.51 machines as well as on 2.6 machines.  Running
the Solaris Netscape didn't exhibit the problem nor did the Netscape on
RH4.2.  Of course those were both older Netscapes than what's in RH5.0.  I
haven't updated the Solaris Netscape for quite a while.  I think it's
actually a 3.<something>.

Now if I can just find out what's with the Control-Panel problem... :-)
That also worked fine in 4.2.
