We used this drive on NT. It was extremely unreliable, and HP/Colorado
refused to provide any support or warranty service. We ended up
throwing a virtually new drive in the garbage. For NT backup, we use a
Tandberg MLR 1, a vastly better and more reliable drive. It appears,
from what we've seen in the trade press, that the small drives are
cheaper than the quarter-inch drives and much less reliable. The 4mm
DAT drives are said to be the worst of all.
Perhaps tape drives are like real machines: when you make it smaller
and cheaper, you end up with rubbish.
