Running xcompmgr(1) did not seem to fix the issue. I appreciate the suggestion though. I was not aware of xcompmgr(1)'s existence. I am now enjoying transitions with xcompmgr -c -f. I suppose this is another reason to look forward to inteldrm(4) support for Skylake chips. Bryan
