OK, so I am using te 0.5.1 (looks like you aare using 0.5.0) port with
the sound patch (which I now got to apply).

I am using my laptop this time and this is seriously broken! Not only in
terms of sound, but also the graphics. 

* The fonts are brokem (all chunky in places).
* Sound still broken.
* Walls leave a trail when the camera moves in fullscreen mode only.
* Some sprites appear to be broken in menus.

Unfortunately I am unable to get a screenshot.

I don't know if any of you have access to a thinkpad x31? Thats what I
am using. Failing that, if anyone is at FDOSDEM, we can meet and I will
show you on my laptop.
