Mike - You mean they can turn it off remotely?  I asked if they would replace and they said no.

My "lanyard" is not really a lanyard.  it is a tiny purse just barely larger than a credit card in dimensions... a zippered pouch with a window to show my ID.., a separater beind it that can barely hold two cards anda  couple of bills.. my vax card is in the puch with my id...
and an outside open pocket that I keep my metro card in ..

I like the idea of two contactless cards though, as in addition to my debit card I have two credit cards, both of which have the little symbol on it that says contactless.

My  purse worn as a necklace has the purse part just below my boobs it is on a ribbon.. the Omni machine read my card through fabric and two layers of cardboard.

I generally don't carry more than one  credit/debit card at a time..

definitely not getting bigger purse.. I have a shopping bag that holds  8 oz water bottle, hand sanitizer, sunglasses, extra mask and a couple of cought drops and asperin..

Most I can carry coming home with groceries is about 5 lbs.. once I week I get deliveries.

anyone know how I can disable that feature without disabling my regular
chip or swipe strip?  IT is at the opposite end of the card from the
regular chip and not near the
swipe strip.
Contactless can be turned off by the banks on individual dards here.
Two thoughts:
1 get a sightly larger purse.
2 keep two contactless cards in your lanyard pouch. The machine will not
choose and will flag up an error.
A further thought; lanyards are usually designed as breakaways these days. If
you have a contactless card on one of those, an enterprising person could swipe
it and do some serious damage to your bank balance before you can get it
stopped.
