Thanks for the suggestion, I will think about it. Customs would be my biggest concern. Probably a good moment to confess that I have another one in my hands already, couldn't take the news of it being unfixable. Now that I know they didn't even try to open it up the decision of its fate comes down to my future plans for this lens.
