It gets really hot on the construction site, and the cameras can get hot to touch, but like Paul I've had no problems with images--course, this is with the K20D I'm talking about--and you guys are talking about the K7--I don't know why I responded to this thread. sorry about that.Cheers, Christine

I shot all day yesterday in bright sun and 90 degree F temperature.
Recorded about 300 frames. The camera was sometimes hot to the touch,
but no problems with the images. I didn't do any live view or video.

So, sir William, you suggest that this problem manifests itself only
when its guts are melting? In this case it probably will not be a show
stopper for me, as I am not shooting like this anyway. As for the heat
of the day, it will get its share, that you can rest assured of ;-).

From what I've read, the sensor can go a little flakey (green lines) when
the internal temp hits 35ÂșC or higher. OTOH, I don't know if the sensor has to hit that temp or if that is how hot the heat off the sensor has to make the thermometer (this could be significantly different temps). I doubt that it would be an issue unless you tend to do lots of live view or video. I do neither.
