You'll like the results with the 43mm limited.
I've had it mounted on the K7 for a while, with good results.
After your trouble with the FA 50/1.4, I tried mine on the K7.
Maybe it's the f1.4 effect, but I think the 43 is sharper.

The black camera does get hot to the touch in the sun,
but no evidence of overheating chips...
