Actually my requirements are less demanding than most.  I'd be happy with an 
*istDS-type camera with SR and 10 megapixels.  I suspect something like this 
might not be too far off.

By the way, did anyone respond about the location of the "Disable shutter 
without memory card" in the Custom Functions?  I can't find the setting in the 
custom menu either but I just tested my DS and it doesn't release the shutter 
when there is no card present.  I don't remember having to set this feature.
