Re the IR remote in the battery grip. The annoying thing about this is that you have to remove the battery tray to get to it. Imagine a spring loaded mechanism on the side of the grip (similar to the one that releases the sd card). push in and the remote pops out. Or it could be flush mounted to the bottom of the grip with a release catch. Even a little strap mounted pouch will do...
Ah few more more.... (although i'm sure that a number of you won't like this one).... A built in vertical grip with capacity for 2 batteries. (err pls... keep the same D-LI50 units so they can be shared with the K10D). OTOH If they keep the separate vertical grip then pls keep the tripod bush in line with lens centerline... Like the grip on the MZ-S.... I really hate the off center arrangement. The MZ-S grip was really cool in that respect. But then the MZ-S was cool in many respects. A bomb proof PC sync socket so that you don't have to worry about trigger voltages etc... The weather sealing issue is easily solved. put a screw on cap on it with a rubber gasket around the edges. The likely hood is that when using the PC sync socket you wont' need weather sealing.. The K10 is not weather proof with the SD card door open...
