Why do we care? We were able to live with the shutter firing with no film in the camera! Gawd! We get some doohickey that does more than any other similar doohickey has ever done before, more than we ever envisioned before the advent of digital doohickeys, and we whine because it doesn't prevent us from doing stupid things with it.
Look, folks, you will never have a foolproof doohickey because fools are to ingenious at screwing themselves. Further, you'll never have a doohickey that does everything you can think of because there's no end to what you'll demand. Next, after you get all the things on your doohickey improvement list, you'll whine because the new, improved doohickey has become to heavy, bulky or cumbersome!
