Much depends on the focal length of the lenses you'll be using. The longer the lens, the sturdier the tripod you're going to need. I can't imagine the 3021 being insufficient with normal lenses and wide angles. Telephotos for the 67 get large and heavy pretty quickly as the focal length goes up. With 300mm and up you're probably going to need something pretty damned substantial. Michael Reichmann has some test shots on the Luminous Landscape site and he had to go to a Gitzo 1349 CF tripod and Arca Swiss ball head to get satisfactory results at 420mm (300mm + 1.4x teleconverter); http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/cameras/pentax67ii.shtml Mind you, few of us are likely to use this setup, given the price, but it's worth being aware of how focal length affects tripod requirements. BTW: Reichmann's testing indicates that the Pentax 67 teleconverters are of *very* high quality: http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/p-ext.shtml -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
