I only shoot RAW, so I never use AWB and don't have to correct colour temperature during conversion, however I shoot a lot of photography that's colour sensitive. The difference between our work flows is that you are likely aiming for a visually pleasing colour balance whereas I'm often aiming for an accurate and repeatable colour balance. The easiest methods to ensure accurate colour balance are to shoot a reference card under the light then base subsequence images on that or to convert with reference to a known WB. Using AWB you loose this absolute reference and over time may also forget what the prevailing light was at the time so pre-sets also lose their value. -- Rob Studdert HURSTVILLE AUSTRALIA Tel +61-2-9554-4110 UTC(GMT) +10 Hours [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~distudio//publications/ Pentax user since 1986, PDMLer since 1998 -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
