I already posted one key improvement that Made fd incompatible, eos has an all electronic Lensmount, no mechanical linkage to control the fd lens apertures. Didn't you hear me on that before? JCO

Your first statemnt is false unless you can show evidence to back it up.. The reality is that they chose to make a new mount that was incompatable with the old one. It had nothing to do with technical improvements to the mount. By your logic, Pentax should have stopped supporting the M42 mount when they changed, since the K mount offered technical improvements.
