Yes and most people don't like using screw lenses on K film bodies
For that very reason, you end up with PURE manual aperture mode
Which sucks. That's why nearly everyone uses film M42 bodies
With M42 lenses to shoot film, not K bodies to shoot film because
The lack of auto aperture really sucks on K bodies with M42 lenses.

Why would the lens need controlling form the body?
M-42 lenses mounted to a K lens don't have any aperture control either.
The problem isn't with what I am hearing, it's with what you are saying.
