Actually, I think the "starter" set on my printer is a real
set as well, as 
I did some pretty intense transfersheet printing and the ink
level has not
gone down much.

But you answered a question I wondered about but didnt ask -
about the switching
back and forth thing.  Something I'll consider in the
future.  

Funds really low here right now.
