Reinstall from scratch every 3 months if you really wanna have a windows performing honestly enough... Not always doable of course... :(

Interesting. Last night I rolled back all the XP Pro automatic updates back to mid December. Now my computer seems to run faster and my Internet connection is measurably faster (3x by the tests on broadband.com), and I am getting more PDML posts too. However I still have the new menus.
