Well, one thing I had to accomplish was updating the firmware to V. 1.02 - I was surprised to see that the new DS came with the V.1.00 firmware, and I wanted to be able to use a 2 GB card. The process took less time than it did to read the update ReadMe file (well, maybe not, but ~almost~ - <g>).

lol ... Yeah, they couldn't have made the instructions more complex to read, could they? ;-)

Although most of my lenses are manual focus ones, I did want to play around with the DS with an autofocus lens on it, and so on went the F 70-210/4-5.6 (the smallest of my three af lenses). Although I haven't used the F 70-210 much before, it does seem to work rather well on the DS (well, at least to this digital newbie it does - <g>). In particular, I am rather surprised with how fast the autofocusing seems to work, even in fairly dim light, and even though f/4 to f/5.6 isn't overly fast. And that stingy F- series focus
ring becomes a non-problem with autofocus...

Sounds like you're having a good time.
