so what? so was minolta, and afaik, D7 is doing just fine. besides,

So, as you point out, life is not endless. I don't like to spend that
limited time waiting, if you know what I mean. It's inevitable in many
cases, but I'd rather be doing than waiting.

This, perhaps above all things, is what befuddles me the most about Pentax.

doesn't matter as the company is overall profitable.
It does matter. Companies often close or selloff unprofitable dvisions.
