Nikon and Canon together account for 92% of the DSLR market with the share about evenly split between the two of them. so far as resellers are concerned, dropping all the rest won't affect their bottom line enough to cause anyone any pain. in fact, dropping all the rest would make it easier for most resellers and save them money.

sure, but, as i have pointed out, pentax is right in the middle of competition, right now. it's not in front of the pack, but neither is nikon nor minolta.
is canon doing better? probably. good for them.
