Lenses (focal lengths) don't change the perspektive, unless there's a lot of
distortion.
Only the spot in which you are standing does that!
>From a wideangle shot, you can in fact crop out the exact same photograph,
that a telephoto lens would make, from that same spot.

Is the Pentax sensor 16x24?  I thought it is smaller than that.  I was
quite surprised at the difference in perspective between a 28mm lens on an
SLR and the 18mm on the istD.
