Well not exactly, I'd like a few more pixels before I denounce film for good, 
I've got the Sinarback 54M brochure sitting next to me (with David Nelsons 
drool on it) but it's just a tad to expensive at this stage, it's "only" 
AU$33,550 for 22MP in 645. I think I'll have to put up with using film in my 
Mamiyas for just a little bit longer :-)

Exactly what was predicted some years ago on this list is now happening. 
Digital image capture is on the rise, labs are going digital, the old film 
companies are trying desperately to clamber on the digi-bandwagon and film 
production is moving to niche players.

It's as inevitable as the demise of analogue computers and vector displays.
