It is not so easy to draw a dividing line between two different types of
Pentax users. I have 14 different lenses and 3 teleconverters in Pentax
K mount. 10 of the lenses are AF (F, FA or FA*) and 4 MF (K, M and A).
And 3 of the bodies I have are AF, but the one I will not sell in any
circumstances is MF (MX).
And I have been a Pentax user for 23 years, I have bought both used and
new equipment (mostly new). Since the beginning of this year, I have
bought a new AF lens, a used AF lens, and I have just purchased (this
week) a new AF-360 FGZ flash. So it is not possible to cast all users in
two categories, that is simplifying things too much. Many of us, like
me, are somewhere in the middle.
I think it would be a good selling point (at least for me) if I could
use all of them on a Pentax DSLR, and not only the AF ones + the one
with a KA mount.
