I'm sure many disagree with this but I'm certain that the numbers of >owners of K and M lenses that are going to buy a new DSLR is limited >indeed.
But Pentax has some special lenses and accessories that requires a mechanical aperture coupling.
K50 and K100 extension tubes (still available new)
M 28 f/3.5 shift lens
Heliocoid lens ("zoom" extension tube)
The auto bellows
FA 85 and FA 28 soft focus
The reflex lensesFor me, this means that if I buy the new *ist - I can't use it for macro photography if I want to use it with Pentax equipment. I have to use Kenko or something similar.
And Pentax still doesn't have real AF teleconverters (the AF 1.7x is not an ideal solution on for an AF lens...).
New products are needed!
Best wishes, Roland
