While Sony have made themselves very famous and launched many interesting products over the years, they aren't exactly a very profitable company. Just not long ago they survived through their PlayStation products.Isnt it odd that Sigma, primarily a third rate ( oops I mean third party )lens company, comes out with a digital SLR before Pentax and Minolta? Wouldnt be even more odd if Fuji (who hasnt made SLRs in 15 yrs) or Sony ( NEVER made SLRs) beats Pentax to market with a DSLR???
