1. There is an extension called IE View that will give you the option of viewing links in IE. You just right click and choose open in IE.
I think there are probably some more extensions that do this too. Just use the add ons manager in Firefox 2 and click when you click on get extensions, do a search. 2. Firefox checks for updates for everything when you start it. That may be why it's slow to start. You can disable this in Options/ Advanced/update tab. I believe there are some synchronizers out there that will sync IE and Firefox bookmarks. Most I've looked at either want you to upload all you favorites to some site or are commercial software. I just used IE favorites except for Groups in firefox. There is an extension called Plain Old Favorites that will let you use IE bookmarks in Firefox.
