1. There is an extension called IE View that will give you the option of
viewing links in IE. You just right click and choose open in IE.

I think there are probably some more extensions that do this too. Just use
the add ons manager in Firefox 2 and click when you click on get extensions,
do a search.

2. Firefox checks for updates for everything when you start it. That may be
why it's slow to start. You can disable this in Options/ Advanced/update
tab.

I believe there are some synchronizers out there that will sync IE and
Firefox bookmarks. Most I've looked at either want you to upload all you
favorites to some site or are commercial software. I just used IE favorites
except for Groups in firefox. There is an extension called Plain Old
Favorites that will let you use IE bookmarks in Firefox.

Hugh, I haven't got round to TB yet. I'm still getting to know my
recently installed Firefox 2.0.0.1. Maybe you can help me with two
issues:

1. I read that there was some kind of add-on that allows you you switch
over to IE if you happen to hit a page that won't show properly in
Firefox. But I simply can't find it. Where can I get it?

2. Is it possible to synchronize bookmarks between Firefox and IE?
When I installed Firefox it imported my IE bookmarks without a problem,
but since then both sets of bookmarks have a life of their own. If I
create, delete, or rearrange bookmarks in one browser, the change
doesn't show up in the other. We'd like to be able to use both browsers
interchangeably.

One last little question. Is it normal that Firefox is very slow to
load but very fast to open new tabs once it's loaded? I have a lot of
HTML pages saved on my machine, and I'm used to being able to open them
quickly. With Firefox as the default browser the delay is annoying.
Defragging didn't help.

And one final theoretical question. In your message to Harold did you
really mean it that the only advantage of TB over OE is to stop spam?
