Thanks Hugh; I found all the folders (I had them hidden on the left side of the window). Your instructions are clear, except in one matter where I might not have made myself clear. Regarding view, I'm not referring to any change in appearance (although if you know a good program to change my own appearance so I could look 21 again, *that* would be appreciated). What I am looking for is a :"Preview" button. OE has that and it enables you to download email without opening it. I think that is important. You see by the sender or subject that you don't want that email and you zip it away. Where does Thunderbird have that option? --- Harold

2. I don't see a "Preview" button available (that's good for deleting an email without opening it up if so warranted).

The only reason to use TB is to stop Spam. I get a lot of email, and my address has been around for several years, yet my Spam is limited to a very few each week. You'll find that TB is eliminating a lot of Spam even before you train it. Read through the other features listed on this page: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/ 2. Most Windows programs have a "View" menu to change the appearance of a program. Look at the available options tofind a layout you like.
