Hello again, I didn't realize that Thunderbird is a different email window (like Outlook Express is an email window). I'd like you (I suppose Hugh Vandervoort) to get me started on it because just looking at it now, and looking at the different options, I find OE to be more comfortable. For example:
1. In Thunderbird, I don't see any access to the various folders (Outbox, Deleted, Sent, Drafts) or anyway of creating folders. 2. I don't see a "Preview" button available (that's good for deleting an email without opening it up if so warranted). I think many computer users become creatures of habit and settle into browsers, email applications, ISP's, maintenance programs, word processors, and even Notepad substitutes (like I think Hugh likes "1st Page" and I like "Notepad Plus") and so it probably is with Thunderbird vs. Outlook Express. I like the idea that Thundbird can be "trained" to remove certain email that the recipient labels as junk. Other than that, I don't know why I would want to change. I'm sure Nos. 1 & 2 above can be achieved. Please let me know how Thunderbird is an improvement over OE and then I, and maybe others, can decide how it fits into our needs, abilities, and personal preferences. And now, back to the Twilight Zone marathon. --- Harold ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
