It's worth noting Dave's user-agent string:

> User-Agent: Pan/0.159 (Vovchansk; )

(That can be compared to mine which you can check in this post, running
live-git but stuck some commits pre-0.159 at the last commit before
autotools was removed as I've not had time to learn the appropriate cmake
and gentoo cmake eclass magic to update the ebuild in my overlay.
Personally, several unrelated clumps of "stuff" hit the proverbial fan
really close to the same time this spring and I'm fighting hard right now
to not get even further behind let alone catch up. =:^( )

So is it /just/ the status icon not working, since it's the just-released
0.159 (equals Dave's user-agent) that removed it?

Assuming so, how does the status icon fit into his pan workflow? Is it
actually /that/ useful with today's faster disks and internet, or is an
"on-demand" workflow perhaps an inconvenient change but not (now) /that/
much harder once learned?

Or is it more than that that isn't working? The post really didn't have
enough detail to be sure, altho posting to this thread, especially with
the 0.159 user-agent, did certainly imply it was only the status icon.
