I see! I was so discouraged by this message that I didn't check after if
it worked in some other way... but I see that in the code after the
error message, it does try PAN_SYSTEM_ICON_PATH and that has the right
value. (I think it also has the right value with configure, so I'm not
sure why I didn't see Pan's window icon...)

Issue solved, I would say. Thanks.
