Meanwhile, I'd love to know if my 127.0.0.1, 127.0.0.2, etc, idea works! 
=8^)  I've suggested it here and to others in a few other contexts, but 
really haven't gotten any practical yes, it works, thanks, or no, it 
doesn't, because... feedback.  It'd be immensely helpful to others I'm 
reasonably likely to want to suggest this to in the future, if someone 
with such a setup could try it and see if it actually works as I believe 
it should in theory, or if there's some flaw I've missed since I've not 
had occasion to try it myself.  (That's in addition to satisfying my own 
natural curiosity, of course. =8^)
