I'm finally in a position to get ADSL on Linux. I'm planning on getting the Alcatel SpeedTouch USB modem, or maybe the Alcatel Ethernet home modem. From what I've read, the ethernet modem works better on Linux, but it doesn't enable you to do Internet Connection Sharing. I have a network between 3 PCs and they're all connected to a HUB. I don't need to use the network from Linux currently. So if I have the HOME Ethernet modem, will ICS work on Windows? If it does I'll get the Ethernet. Alcatel claim the USB works well on Linux too, so i'll get that if ICS doesn't work opn the home modem.
