It can, but you must either have two network cards, or you have to tweak some 
files around a bit.

To use one network card, you have to create an alias for it (eth0:0) and give 
it an IP address like 192.168.0.1, then edit the file /usr/bin/drakgw and add 
the line:
$cards[0] = "eth0:0";
at line 233 (just before the line "my $device;").

Then, run connection sharing from Mandrake Control Panel. It should work.
Note that this is not recommended because of some security issues.
