There was an agreement, the Venezuelan government accepted to send the US its
oil exports and that the US would control its commercialization. In light of
this agreement the military deployment in the Caribbean ended. This agreement
is in a sense even worse than a naval blockade, as the Venezuelan government is
accepting conditions which undermine Venezuelan sovereignty, violate the
Venezuelan Constitution and laws, etc. There has been no attempt by the
Venezuelan government to break this a agreement. If what is implied is that a
blockade could be reinstated if the agreement Delcy Rodríguez and Trump have
ceases to be implemented, then you are talking about a potential blockade, the
capacity of the US to go back to previous pressure mechanisms, previous to the
agreement now in force. That capacity exists, but there is no blockade right
now. In fact sanctions against Delcy Rodríguez have been lifted. You can't
ignore the pact of subservience.

Not all governments capitulate like the Venezuelan government has, with Delcy
Rodríguez even calling Trump "a friend". The Cuban government has not done
this, neither has the Iranian or Yemeni governments. There are other
governments which have not capitulated completely to imperialist pressure. Look
at the historical examples and you will see how exceptional the Venezuelan
total capitulation is.
