I Haven't seen the 1920x1080 config, I've just been building out of the "
DE10_Nano_FB_Cramps
<https://github.com/machinekit/mksocfpga/tree/master/HW/QuartusProjects/DE10_Nano_FB_Cramps>"

project, with the "PIN_3x24_cap_enc.vhd
<https://github.com/machinekit/mksocfpga/blob/master/HW/hm2/config/DExx_Nano_xxx_Cramps/PIN_3x24_cap_enc.vhd>"

modified pinfile.

1600x900 would allow me to test it out on my mill and I might have a use
for 800x480. I didn't realize the resolution was fixed, my 1080P monitors
don't have a problem displaying 1024x768, all my other monitors do. I
suppose in a real usage scenario I'd have to look further into your
previous reply and try to figure out how to set a resolution for whatever
monitor I intended to use.

For the Sserial thing, I did eventually get MK to dump a logfile that
showed HM2 come up. SSerial is being initiated as far as that goes, it does
print the version. I tried rigging up a Serial cable and sniffing the
transmit line but the 2.5m baud rate that sserial claims is too high for
anything I'm using to catch. With a scope I can catch the transmit line get
pulled low for a very short period. PCW did mention this:

I still suspect a wiring error as the most like cause of non-detection of

I've checked the wiring, and double checked the PCB traces against the
datasheets and continuity to every solder joint everything looks fine.
Later in the week I'll be able to test a better circuit but I'm not sure
what to do about checking the clock rate.
