Can't say for sure, but I suspect that pulling the power on the modem is not solving the problem but merely a coincident. Oh No!! I believe that I'm starting to sound like a Rogers Support tech!

The only thing I can add is that pulling the plug on the modem and letting it sit for a minute or two will reset the modem and that can help sometimes. I am now on sympatico and for all of it's idiosyncrasies it is better then when I was on rogers.
