Try this:
sudo apt-get purge openoffice*
sudo apt-get purge openoffice-*
(this option will show some errors but, at the end it may remove office)
or you can replace openoffice with libreoffice, I can't find which
packages
was in Ubuntu 11, cause it's unsupported.
Or you can try install synaptic as Juergen wrote, but I think that
Cannonical don't
have Ubuntu 11 repos online, or it is I don't know where.

Easiest way is to cleanup the system first and remove LibreOffice

other older OpenOffice packages coming from the system. LO
hijacked
OpenOffice package names and other things :-( They argued that we
had
no
official release bla bla bla.
