--- Comment #7 from Wismill <[email protected]> --- I doubt very much it has anything to do with xkeyboard-config: this package does not touch you keyboard configuration, only the keyboard layout database (XKB files). While an error there would usually lead to fallback to a US Qwerty layout, this error would persist even if you set manually you layout (KDE, localectl, etc.). Since the current issue was fixed by setting the keyboard layout config manually, that’s not it. I use xkeyboard-config 2.48 on opensuse Tumbleweed + Plasma 6.7.1 (Wayland) with `de` layout and have no issue… except dead keys do not seem to work on the login page, but I do not use them there. If the pattern of affected setups is ArchLinux-based distro + KDE, the issue must be distro-specific.
