Thanks @uschindler , this is the way to go: compiler does a good job. java already has all the necessary logic here to autovectorize and use e.g. `vpopcntdq` or AVX2 lookup-table counting algorithm depending on the cpu features detected. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
