David Eric Pugh commented on SOLR-14067: ---------------------------------------- Hey [~hoss...@fucit.org], Mr [~dsmiley] suggested I reach out to you about renaming the StatelessScriptingUpdateProcessor over to ScriptingUpdateProcessor. There is no "Stateful" one, and I think it obfuscates the point of htis update processor. Thoughts? And if we do this, do we need to have backwards compatiblity with the old name? I am going to link to a current PR Github, however if you prefer I can add a patch file to the ticket ;-) > Deprecate StatelessScriptUpdateProcessor and disabled by default > ---------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: SOLR-14067 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-14067 > Project: Solr > Issue Type: Improvement > Reporter: Ishan Chattopadhyaya > Assignee: David Eric Pugh > Priority: Major > Fix For: 8.7 > > Time Spent: 1h 20m > Remaining Estimate: 0h > > We should eliminate all scripting capabilities within Solr.
