Done in 6c281d1. maybeStall now returns false for a merge thread when no merges are pending, so it exits instead of racing a late-arriving merge through getNextMerge. The cap re-check in merge() still covers producer threads, and the registration path triggers a fresh merge() for the late merge, so nothing gets dropped. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
