@wypoon I was able to get this up and running based on your branch, so i think we can make it work. As for the comparison to the Spark distribution, I don't think we want to go that route. I would rather we rely on the backward compatibility of the metastore or start dropping support for older versions as opposed to starting to produce multiple binaries that we need to maintain. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
