Sounds like a good compromise, did you have any thoughts on how this might integrate with the existing Datafusion machinery? I'm mainly thinking for configuration, so users get a good out of box experience, but one could see the benefits of iceberg using more of DFs first party support for things like parquet -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
