Well, "making money" is probably the wrong idea. Mail-Archive
utilizes a network that forbids commercial for-profit
use. I don't expect ads to be particularly lucrative.
And, I'm not really interested in spending my precious
time on this planet mucking with business stuff. 

But, like you said, there are a lot of page views. I put
up stats from last week on http://www.mail-archive.com/stats.html
and the last time I counted, we had 800K unique IP's visiting
Mail-Archive a month. I really have no idea if this is significant
or not. Google considers 20M human page views a month
to be large enough for their salescritters to get involved,
and Mail-Archive is probably lucky to be a third of that.

I don't know; people should speak up. If I did, I'd do a test run 
on a single list to see what happened (maybe it should be a 
Tomcat list, ha ha). 

The static page nature of Mail-Archive might be a problem, as 
it doesn't lend itself to experimentation. I might have to tell 
apache rewrite the pages before shipping them out or something,
which could be a pain.
