Well, "making money" is probably the wrong idea. Mail-Archive utilizes a network that forbids commercial for-profit use. I don't expect ads to be particularly lucrative. And, I'm not really interested in spending my precious time on this planet mucking with business stuff. But, like you said, there are a lot of page views. I put up stats from last week on http://www.mail-archive.com/stats.html and the last time I counted, we had 800K unique IP's visiting Mail-Archive a month. I really have no idea if this is significant or not. Google considers 20M human page views a month to be large enough for their salescritters to get involved, and Mail-Archive is probably lucky to be a third of that. > Would you put them on the individual messages too? If I did, I'd do a test run on a single list to see what happened (maybe it should be a Tomcat list, ha ha). The static page nature of Mail-Archive might be a problem, as it doesn't lend itself to experimentation. I might have to tell apache rewrite the pages before shipping them out or something, which could be a pain. _______________________________________________ Gossip mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.mail-archive.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/gossip
