I checked Google mail this evening using Chrome Version 37.0.2062.94 (64-bit). When I looked under the promotions tab I found two messages I consider spam... one from auto.com on an automobile clearance sale and another inviting me to take a test from Luminance. I don't drive and I can't remember (and wouldn't) visit Luminance.
I am a long time user of g-mail and switched to chrome several months ago. This is the first time I've encountered this annoying type of mail here. There were at the top of the list, had no check box on the left, no way to click in the area they displayed without opening the spam, and once in the message, no way to report the message as spam (the context button was missing). These messages were also highlighted to make them more noticable. At first I found no way to delete these messages, but then noticed an x-ed box the right margin, already x-ed. When I clicked there, the message went away. I inspected the element, but found nothing. Any comments? If this is an old issue, I apologize, but I haven't noticed it before in the lists discussions. -- Gary Greene [email protected] Gilroy, California -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Gmail-Users" group.
