Hi I am not sure if this is related but the namespace prefix "ge" seems not used in the xsd.
It seems to be ge-core. unless that is tackled in the namespace defintion required by geoserver app-schema. (although I understand this would mean the xsd is not correct, right?) I know there is/was an issue with app-schema if the namespace prefix uses a dash. I am equaly not 100% sure this relates only to gml321 outputs. I hope this helps in some direction.
