Initially I thought the same, but for the moment Hervé's plan is
straightforward and allows and easy way to move to git and for the moment
reflect that back in SVN. Once we get on to the process of modernizing the
site generation in git, then (depending on how that turns out) decide
where/how to maintain these two sets of flags. That may mean changing their
location and where the two banner processes pick them up from (git or svn &
the location). I could see a scenario where one data file is added for a
retired project, including indicating whether theres a cwiki and something
like Jekyll generating the flags and html page for a project. For the time
being though, we don't have to know that final outcome to take this first
small step
