Agreed.  (BR#3518302 should be fixed but I have not checked it lately,
BR#3506568 is fixed)

This is more a matter of judgement.  In the recent games at Very Hard, I have 
some difficulty finding a clear starting location, but not an insurmountable 
amount except on deliberately small maps.  This seems right to me.  You might 
have an argument that by mid-game too much land is claimed on easy difficulty 
levels.  However by then, the player has more options for land acquisition.

This is true for the reworked AI in trunk, and remains to be fixed.  Not 
convinced it was true for 0.10.5.

This is less true in trunk than for 0.10.5, as the natives now place more 
emphasis on settlement defence.  Whether it is a Col1 incompatibility is yet 
another question.
