Hi,
Pkg signal-desktop is not build at the official build cluster because
devel/electron44 <https://www.freshports.org/devel/electron44/> is
blocklisted.
It does not state why that is done. I guess it takes too long to build.
You can find this here:

Look in the "skipped ports" for signal-desktop and it says why it is
skipped.
Electron44 is in the "ignored ports" section.
As if it made sense to set up a working group to support FreeBSD on
desktops and laptops, yet not build the desktop packages that are
important to users. Or not to update them and build them in the
quarterly, where the cost of building actually makes sense because it
isn’t rebuilt as often as in the Latest branch.
Using FreeBSD on a desktop is a painful experience, and I say this as
someone who has been indulging in this masochism for over a decade.
It's almost impossible without a packages from own Poudriere build.

Hello,
since some time the signal-desktop port (quaterly) is not
available / updated. I know it takes time to compile (I don't do it
myself), but what is the problem behind?
All the best and many thanks, Norbert
